Ruben Sahakyan is currently a Director, Investment Banking, following the acquisition of GMP Securities by Stifel in 2019. Mr. Sahakyan first joined the Equity Research team of GMP Securities in 2017 covering Canadian Technology Sector. Bringing 5+ years of investment banking experience to the group, Ruben is responsible for account coverage and mandate execution for companies directly and indirectly associated with the technology and crypto sectors.
Earlier in his career, he managed institutional portfolios at one of the largest fund managers in North America.
Mr. Sahakyan graduated from the University of Toronto – Rotman School of Management with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
